Plytube Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 24, 2026

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Plytube handles information when you use the Plytube mobile application and related support pages. Plytube is designed as a personal music and video player that helps users import, organize, search, and play media.

By using Plytube, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

Information We Collect

Plytube does not require you to create an account to use the core player features. Depending on which features you use, the app may process the following information on your device:

  • Media files, filenames, artwork, playlists, playback progress, and other library information you choose to import or create.
  • Search terms or links you enter when using supported online search or import features.
  • App settings such as themes, colors, player preferences, and local app configuration.
  • Basic technical information needed to diagnose support issues if you choose to email us, such as device model, iOS version, app version, screenshots, or a description of the issue.

Permissions

Plytube may request system permissions only when needed for app features. For example:

  • Photos access, when you choose to import media from your photo library.
  • Files access, when you choose files or folders through iOS file pickers.
  • Local network or computer transfer access, when a transfer feature requires it.
  • Network access, when you use online search, supported importing, or support links.

You can manage permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

How We Use Information

Information processed by Plytube is used to provide and improve app features, including importing media, building playlists, displaying artwork, saving playback status, showing search results, applying themes, and responding to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

Local Storage

Media files, playlists, playback history, and app settings may be stored locally on your device so the app can work as expected. Removing the app may delete locally stored app data unless it has been backed up or exported by iOS or by you.

Third-Party Services and Content

Plytube may interact with third-party services when you use online search, supported import, external links, App Store services, or iOS system services. Those third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

Plytube does not own or control third-party music, videos, websites, services, or search results. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws and third-party terms when accessing or using content.

Children's Privacy

Plytube is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support email or other communication, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Data Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. However, no app, device, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices

  • You can decline or revoke iOS permissions in Settings.
  • You can delete imported media, playlists, and app data inside the app where available.
  • You can delete the app from your device to remove app-local data controlled by Plytube.
  • You can contact us to request deletion of personal information you sent to us by email.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of Plytube after an update means you accept the revised policy.
